Rivals moves Tre Johnson to top spot in class of 2024 recruit rankings

There’s a new top prospect among class of 2024 basketball recruits, and he’s a top Kentucky target from Texas.

On Tuesday, Rivals released a reworked ranking of the top 10 basketball recruits in the class of 2024.

While a complete listing of new Rivals rankings for the class of 2024 will be released Wednesday, Tuesday provided a look at the top 10 players in the class, which featured several top Kentucky targets.

The following players with UK scholarship offers all made appearances in the top 10:

No. 1 Tre Johnson (shooting guard)

No. 3 Ian Jackson (shooting guard)

No. 5 Airious “Ace” Bailey (small forward)

No. 9 Boogie Fland (combo guard)

Jackson was previously the No. 1 ranked player in the class for Rivals, and Johnson was previously No. 3.

Two other players with UK interest — No. 4 Naasir Cunningham (small forward) and No. 10 Dylan Harper (combo guard) — also cracked the top 10.
