An overturned car blocked a road and caused delays following a crash in Conwy today. North Wales Police (NWP) went to Gloddaeth Lane in Glanwydden shortly before 5pm (Saturday, March 26) after receiving reports of a collision.
Officers attending the scene advised the road was blocked and warned of delays in the area. In a post on social media, a police spokesperson advised traffic was building on Gloddaeth Lane and Glanwydden Lane, in Penrhyn Bay.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area while emergency services attended the incident – you can read more on that here. Pictures from the scene appear to show a dark coloured car on its side, blocking a section of the road near local primary school, Ysgol Glanwydden.
A spokesperson for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they had received a report of a collision on Gloddaeth Lane near Glanwydden shortly before 5pm. However, WAST later confirmed they were not required to attend the incident.
Recovery of a dark coloured vehicle commenced at approximately 6.30pm, with images from the scene showing a car being loaded onto the back of a recovery truck. A NWP spokesperson confirmed the road had reopened shortly before 7pm.
