Hundreds gather in Ukrainian Village to protest Russian invasion of land where many have relatives. ‘It’s a country we love.’

The crowd in the West Side’s Ukrainian Village neighborhood was made of largely made of families, with men draped in Ukrainian flags and women and teenage girls wearing brightly colored laurels in their hair. They waved handmade signs with messages both profound and profane and images aimed at the Russian leader.
